Gemelli, a delightful pasta, is about one and a half inches long. They are a two strand twisted pasta.
In Italian, gemelli means 'twins'. Gemelli are generally enjoyed with a thick, chunky pasta sauce, fun in soup and casseroles, and tasty in salads. We like it with our 1849 Brand Pasta Sauce.
Interesting side note about Gemelli pasta: they are easier to find than some of the more rare shapes, but harder to find than some of the more popular shapes.
